She sewed a quilt.
Sakes alive. Amazing.
Here's how it went down:
G invited Maddy and I to a quilt show on Mother's day and G found out about a kid quilt kit that could be purchased at a local quilt shop. It is one of these very kits that Maddy and G worked on tirelessly this week.
Below you will see how Maddy laid out the fabric squares in the desired pattern:

After she laid out the squares she carefully sewed the squares into rows, then sewed the rows together to form her quilt front.

Next they added the border, layered the batting with the back and quilted (with ties in this instance) the corners of the squares, then finished the project with a border.
Here is the finished quilt:

And here she is, cozy in her amazing creation.
