QUILT IT, QUILT IT GOOD
Madigan kicked off the summer break by spending a few days at Pop and G's. She hung out with Bumper and the folks and accomplished an amazing feat:
She sewed a quilt.
Sakes alive. Amazing.
Here's how it went down:
G invited Maddy and I to a quilt show on Mother's day and G found out about a kid quilt kit that could be purchased at a local quilt shop. It is one of these very kits that Maddy and G worked on tirelessly this week.
Below you will see how Maddy laid out the fabric squares in the desired pattern:
After she laid out the squares she carefully sewed the squares into rows, then sewed the rows together to form her quilt front.
Next they added the border, layered the batting with the back and quilted (with ties in this instance) the corners of the squares, then finished the project with a border.
Here is the finished quilt:
And here she is, cozy in her amazing creation.
Holy moly! So wonderful!

WICKED WEEKEND
Maddy and Maddy in San Francisco.
Maddy and I went with our dear friends Madison and Mary to San Francisco for Wicked and an overnight in the city.
We shopped around Union Square. We went to Lush, H & M, Macy's and more. We ate at Lori's Diner. We stayed at the Westin St. Francis and had room service for dinner. In the morning we had Starbucks in the room, walked to Chinatown and went to the Ferry Building for lunch and treats.
It was a wonderful time.

FIRST GIANTS GAME
From out of nowhere (meaning Rube's friend Pat's 2 extra tickets) the Zamora boys went tot the Giants game last night. This was Levi's first time to Pac Bell Park (or whatever the kids are calling it these days.)
